Welcome to the Orlando DIYpython User's Group
Proposed site of the local Orlando DIYpython user's group
Welcome to DIYpython! DIYpython is an Orlando,
Florida based Python user group dedicated to providing members and visitors of all skill levels Python programming information
applicable to the broadest segment
of Python users. DIYpython is about becoming more skilled with the Python language and its common libraries and add-ons, in order to make computers and machinery work better.. Other Python groups' presentations
cover esoteric, botique Python-related technologies. We cover technologies most Python people can download and put to use in univerally useful applications.
We're called DIYpython for a reason: We're about Python anyone can use, and we're tightly connected to
Orlando's Maker community. We meet at Familab. Many hardware, Raspberry Pi and robot people attend our meetings.
But we're not just about hardware: We're about Python, wherever it's used.
Orlando has several Python groups, causing some confusion. Our group is called DIYpython, not "Orlando
Python" or "The Orlando Python Group". We are not "a meetup", our meetings are not "meetups", and we don't
even advertise on Meetup.Com. We're a grassroots Orlando home-grown Python group concerned with mainstream Python and everything that can be done with it.
